Volunteer shifts

For the street party, a tournament or a food drive: each shift carries the places you need and the form shows how many are left. When one fills up it closes by itself; and if someone can't make it, they free their place with the link they got when signing up.

Who it's for: Residents' associations, parents' groups, sports clubs, charities and festival committees.

When to use it

  • You're organising a party, a tournament or a drive and need people on every shift.
  • Shifts fill up unevenly and you want everyone to see where help is missing.
  • Someone signs up and then can't come: let them free their shift without calling you.

What's inside and why

Which shifts can you help with?
More than one can be picked. Each shift carries its places and shows how many are left; when full, it closes.
Phone, in case anything changes
Optional: only if you'll need to get in touch.

Tips to get the most out of it

  1. Put the day, time and task in each shift: “Saturday 18:00–21:00 · Bar”.
  2. Set the places in the editor, under “+ Places per option”. With no number, a shift has no limit.
  3. Share the link early and check the summary for shifts still to fill.

Frequently asked questions

What if two people take the last place at the same time?

Only one gets in: the server counts and saves in the same step. The other sees that the option has filled up and can pick another.

What if someone signs up and then can't make it?

When signing up they get a link to free their place. Opening it deletes nothing: they have to press the button, and then the place is free again.

Can people see who has signed up?

No: the form only shows how many places are left. You see the names, in the responses.
