After-school clubs sign-up

Families sign their children up for clubs on their phone and see how many places are left in each. When one fills up, it closes by itself and further sign-ups join the waiting list, first come first served; if a family frees up their place with their link, the next one moves up and gets an email. You get each club's list, with who picks up each student.

Who it's for: Schools, parents' associations, councils and sports schools.

When to use it

  • You're opening sign-ups for this year's after-school clubs.
  • Each club has limited places and you don't want to keep count by hand.
  • You want a fair, first-come waiting list.

What's inside and why

Which club are they joining?
Each option with its places: families see how many are left and it closes by itself when full.
Who picks them up afterwards?
So the instructor knows who each student can leave with.

Tips to get the most out of it

  1. Put the day and time in each option: families choose knowing whether it suits them.
  2. Ask for the family email: it's how they're told if they move up from the waiting list.
  3. If demand exceeds places and you'd rather draw lots, run a verifiable draw with the list of sign-ups.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when a club fills up?

It closes by itself: nobody else can choose it and, with the waiting list on, further sign-ups join it in order of arrival.

Can a family drop out?

Yes: when signing up they get a link to free up their place; the first family on the waiting list then moves up and gets an email.

What if demand exceeds places?

By default, first come first served. If you'd rather draw lots, collect sign-ups without places and run a verifiable draw with the list.
