Participatory budgeting
Voting for a single project hides how much the others matter. Here each person splits 100 points across the projects and the count adds up everyone's: you see each project's share of the support and the average per person.
Who it's for: Neighbourhoods, residents' associations, parents' groups, co-operatives and teams deciding how to spend a shared budget.

What project is missing for next time?
When to use it
- There's a shared budget and several projects competing for it.
- How much support each project has matters, not just which one is the favourite.
- You want people who strongly back a project to be able to say so, without having to pick just one.
What's inside and why
- Split 100 points across the projects
- Everyone puts more points on what matters most to them. The split must add up to exactly 100: no more, no less.
- What project is missing?
- An open question to collect ideas for the next round.
Tips to get the most out of it
- Use 3 to 8 projects. If they have an estimated cost, put it in each option's description so people decide with the facts.
- If you have a membership roll, turn on ballots: one per person, and nobody splits twice.
- Look at each project's share of the support and the average per person, not just the top one: a project with strong support from a few people shows too.
Frequently asked questions
How is the result calculated?
The points everyone put on each project are added up. The result gives each project's total, its share of all the points split and the average per person.
Can people split a different number instead of 100?
Yes: in the editor you choose how many points are split, from 5 to 1,000.
How do I stop someone splitting twice?
By default, one answer per device. If you have a membership roll, turn on ballots: each one works only once.
