Event registration with limited capacity

A talk, a party or an open day with room for a hundred: set the capacity and the form shows how many places are left. When it's full, latecomers join the waiting list and move up as soon as someone frees their place. Everyone with a place gets a QR ticket, and at the door you read it with your phone camera.

Who it's for: Associations, parents' groups, councils, libraries and organisers of talks and events.

When to use it

  • You're organising a talk, a party or an open day with limited room.
  • If it fills up, you want latecomers to be able to wait their turn.
  • At the door you need to know who has a place and who is already in.

What's inside and why

Email
To tell whoever moves up from the waiting list, and about any change.
Do you need anything to attend?
Optional: to arrange accessibility or an interpreter in good time.

Tips to get the most out of it

  1. Set the capacity in the editor, under “Capacity (places in total)”; empty means no limit.
  2. If you expect more people than room, keep the waiting list: it orders itself and moves up by itself.
  3. On the day, sign in on your phone before you arrive: then every QR you read lets you record the entry.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when it's full?

With a waiting list, latecomers join it, in order, and see their position; if someone frees their place, the first person who fits moves up and, if they left their email, is told. Without one, whatever fills up closes and, when nobody else fits, the form says “No places left”.

How is the door checked?

Everyone with a place gets a QR ticket. At the door you read it with your phone camera, signed in, and record the entry; if that ticket has already been used, you'll see it, with the time.

Do I need to install anything?

No: neither the people signing up nor whoever checks the door. It all works in the phone's browser.
