Board election
Each member votes once with their ballot, and the vote is secret: the organisers see how many ballots have been used, but not which, or how anyone voted. Voters don't see the count until voting closes, and then it's published automatically. Board seats are ranked by preference, and the double count shows which candidates have the broadest support.
Who it's for: Clubs, associations, parents' groups and collectives renewing their board.

When to use it
- The chair and board of the club or association are up for renewal.
- There are several candidates and you want a count nobody can dispute.
- You don't want partial results to sway those who haven't voted yet.
What's inside and why
- Results hidden until the close
- Voters don't see how the election is going, so nobody changes their vote because of the partial count. When voting closes, the results are published automatically.
- Board seats by order of preference
- With several people for few seats, the ranking and the double count show who has the broadest support.
- Secret ballot
- The vote isn't linked to the ballot, and the organisers only see how many have been used: not which, nor how anyone voted.
Tips to get the most out of it
- Replace «Candidate A», «Person 1»… with the real names before publishing, and keep the blank vote.
- Set the closing time and announce it in the notice: that's when the results are published.
- When voting closes, open the results screen and project it for the whole room.
Frequently asked questions
Who sees how each person voted?
Nobody. The vote is secret: the organisers see how many ballots have been used, but not which, or how anyone voted.
What if there's a tie?
The count flags it instead of hiding it; settle it as your statutes say, for example with a run-off.
Can candidates join at the last minute?
While there are no votes you can edit the options; once votes are cast, better open a new vote.
