Support for a proposal

When a proposal needs a number of supporters to reach the next stage —in participatory budgeting, an association or a council—, the bar shows how far there is to go, each email supports once and anyone who wants says why.

Who it's for: Participatory budgeting, associations, school councils and neighbourhood boards.

When to use it

  • A proposal needs a number of supporters to reach the next stage.
  • You want to know why people support it.
  • You want each person to support it once only.

What's inside and why

Why do you support it?
Optional: the reasons are the best argument when you present the proposal.

Tips to get the most out of it

  1. Set the target to the number of supporters the rules require.
  2. Sum up the proposal in the description in one sentence, with a link to the full version.
  3. In the summary, the AI can group the reasons by theme if you ask.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be used for an official citizens' initiative?

No: an official citizens' initiative or procedure requires certified signatures (with an electronic certificate or before a notary). This collects support to show backing.

Can someone sign twice?

Not with the same email: each email signs once, even with different capitals. For more control, the settings let you limit it to one response per device.

Can people see who has signed?

No: the form only shows how many supporters there are. You see the names, in the responses, and can download them as CSV.
